Improvements to road safety

A frequent issue raised at the Northfield Ward Forums has been problems caused by cars being parked around street corners thus reducing the site lines for pedestrians and drivers. Ealing Council consulted residents of roads south of Little Ealing Lane about the introduction of double yellow lines at some junctions in that area. EFRA was generally supportive of the proposals but lobbied the council for a change to reduce the length of double yellow lines from 10 metres to 5 metres from the junction in order to lessen the number of parking spaces lost. This suggestion has been accepted.
