Heathrow

Heathrow is resurfacing the southern runway this year.  From 3 March to 31 October 2013, Sunday evening to Friday morning inclusive, there will be no night-time runway alternation and planes flying after 10:30 pm and before 6:00 am will use the northern runway.  EFRA's area is not directly under the northern runway flightpath but even so we are likely to notice more night-time and early morning aircraft noise during this time.

The main news is that we have launched our campaign for a ban on night flights before 6am and a progressive reduction between 6 and 7am. We held a successful launch in the House of Commons at a meeting chaired by Zac Goldsmith MP and attended by 45 people including a number of MPs and their researchers.
